Invitation to BoFEP Talking Circle – April 27th

100 years of plankton in the St. Croix Estuary—that has been the topic of a project BoFEP has undertaken in cooperation with SAABS. These samples are an important record of this critical food source for Alewives, Herring, and other plankton feeders including a variety of whales.
On Monday, April 27, we will be discussing what this 100-year plankton sampling program shows us about the health of the estuary. We are encouraging participants to think about and share their personal experiences, legends and stories of the St. Croix, especially related to the creatures that live in its waters to complete the picture of plankton interaction and relationship with climate, fisheries abundance, marine mammal and other environmental events in the area over time.
Please come to the Talking Circle on April 27 from 11:30 to 5 at the Hachey Conference Center at SAABS in St. Andrews. Lunch will be served.
