2018 BoFEP Annual General Meeting – November 14th

[Note: in the event that the weather makes for unsafe driving conditions in certain parts of the region we have arranged for participants to join the meeting by conference call. If you plan to use this option please contact Sarah Chamberlain at sarah.chamberlain44@gmail.com and she will provide the coordinates for calling in].

The 2018 Annual General Meeting of the Bay of Fundy Ecosystem Partnership (BoFEP) will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 from 12:30 – 4:00 p.m. at Room 117, Avard Dixon Bldg., Mount Allison University, 144 Main Street, Sackville NB. (Building #6 on Campus Map). There is some street parking, but it tends to get filled up very quickly (although the University is on reading week so fewer students on campus and no classes) and parking is a 2 hour limit, managed by the Town of Sackville. Look on the campus map for a “P” for an indication as to where you can find free parking, managed by Mount Allison.  To RSVP and for further information contact: mjanowicz@hotmail.com .

BoFEP 2018 AGM agenda

Matt Abbott will be the guest speaker at the BoFEP AGM on November 14 on the Mount Allison campus.
The title of his talk is: “Climate, People and other Animals of the Bay of Fundy”.

He will speak about his experiences as Fundy Bay Keeper related to bringing people together to protect the Bay and his observations about changes in the Bay since he started his post.

Abbott is the Fundy Bay Keeper, working for the Conservation Council of New Brunswick The Mission is to defend the public’s right to a healthy Bay of Fundy. This right is inherent in laws written to protect the marine environment and the species that inhabit it. Too often, however, these laws are not enforced. The Fundy Baykeeper’s top priority is to make sure environmental laws are enforced as citizens expect them to be.
