BoFEP Job Posting: Website and Social Media Officer (Paid Position)

The Bay of Fundy Ecosystem Partnership (BoFEP) is a virtual institute that is looking to expand its social media and update its online presence. BoFEP is looking to hire an individual for a part-time paid contract for 6 months, with the possibility to renew.

The Website and Social Media Officer will:
• Report to the Chair and Vice-Chair of BoFEP; provide advice and recommendations on BoFEP’s social media and website presence.
• Attend meetings every two weeks via phone
• Initially audit the website and perform any housekeeping activities such as deleting broken links, archiving old pages, and updating information about BoFEP (10 hours a week for the first three weeks of the contract)
• On an ongoing basis: maintain the website, add content generated by the Management, Steering, or Special Committees
• Maintain the social media pages: respond to queries from followers, generate content with the aid of Management and Steering Committee. (website and social media: 5 hours a week for the remainder of the contract).
• $20/hour

Required skills and experience:
• Previous experience managing social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) for an organization, club, or other non-personal use.
• Experience using social media management platforms or other social media tools
• Website management, including using software such as WordPress (the BoFEP website is hosted by WordPress, but experience with another software is still considered an asset).
• An interest in the marine environment and the Bay of Fundy
• Preference will be given to students
